Academic Advising
Every student receives an academic advisor who assists through the registration and program process. Please contact the College Registrar for more information at 924-4861.

Account Information
If you have any questions during registration and payment of fees the Assistant Registrar and/or Financial Coordinator will provide account information.

Bicycles
All bikes can be stored in the seasonal bike cage located at the back of the College. For a $25 deposit you can lock your bike in our secured area. Contact the Director of Student Services at 924.4876 for more info.

Commons
Commuter Areas
Booth College is pleased to provide two areas for commuting students. The Commons is located on the main floor with leather couches, a pool table, 52” screen television and wireless internet. The third floor lounge area has an eating areas and outside deck/patio area with picnic tables.

Computers
There are three computer labs on campus. Two are on the lower level with hard wired access points and power outlets for laptops. There is also a computer lab located in the John Fairbank Memorial Library.

Wireless Access
Booth College wireless is available on floors one and two. You will require Windows XP to access our wireless connections at the present time.
There is also wireless access for the residents students on their floors – available in the common areas only.  For visitors other than student staying on these floors the wireless connection is available as well. The wireless details are below.

Important: Please note the following:
1. If you are using Windows Vista – our wireless access points on floors 1 and 2 will not work with Windows Vista. You have two (2) options available to you.
a. You can plug in your laptop in the computer labs using the available network cables
b. You can provide your own network cables and you can connect in the Commons area using the available network jacks. There are additional network connections available in the classrooms as well.

1. The network administrator is located in the Commons Area. The Commons area is located left off the elevators on the main floor.

3. Call and leave a voice message. (Please leave details such as your name, technical problem you are experiencing and how to contact you)

Food Services

Dining Services
Food services in our dining room are available Monday to Friday.  Both lunch and supper are served and menu posted weekly.  Prices are posted.
Residential students can get a continental style breakfast from 8 -8:45 am Monday to Friday.
Lunch is served from noon-12:45 pm and Dinner is served from 5-5:45.
Take out service is available during regular dining room hours only.
Please contact the Hospitality Services Manager at 924.4854 for questions or ides of serving you better.

Excessive Noise
Please respect those around you by not playing loud music or making unnecessary noise.

Fees/Assessments
Any fees incurred from damage on assessments will be taken directly from your incidental deposit.  Please contact the Director of Student Services for any questions or concerns at 924.4876.

Fire and Safety
For your safety and security there are pull stations and first aid on each floor. Please read the RED manual on each floor for a complete fire evacuation plan.

Health Care
There are many convenient clinics, hospitals and health care centres within walking distance of the college.  Your Student Handbook has a list of area health providers.

Identification Cards
Each student receives a student ID card that entitles them entry to the library and other areas of the college. ID cards can also be used in the dining area for food charges.

Intramurals
During noon hours intramurals are played in our gymnasium.  See the Athletic Board for more information.

Worship Teams
Each year there is worship team auditions.

Library Facilities
The college library is located on the third floor at 290 Vaughn Street, a short walking distance from the main campus.
The library offers students many services including a study area, internet access and a knowledgeable staff. Feel free to visit during regular operating hours or call 924.4858 for the circulation desk.

Student mailboxes are located on the main floor. Students are given a mailbox number and key during orientation.

Students should check mailboxes regularly as instructors and other departments within the College use this as a tool to inform students of special events and to hand back papers.

3-1-1 Citizen Inquiry Service
Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, the Centre will operate Winnipeg’s new citizen inquiry service, designed to provide citizens with the opportunity to ask questions about, or to request any non-emergency city service at their convenience. Customer Service Representatives will be available day or night to answer inquiries from the public, in both official languages.



Musical Instruments
Students are encouraged to bring their instruments and can practice in the Chapel or in our practice room.

Open Residence Hours
Visitation hours are Monday – Friday from 5 – 11 pm; Saturday & Sunday from 3 – 11 pm.

Parking Options
There is a map of available parking in the immediate area posted outside of the leadership office; or visit www.mywinnipeg.com for local downtown parking.

Parking Guidelines
The College does not have a student parking lot. There is parking surrounding the campus both underground and on the street.

Parking Enforcement
The City of Winnipeg patrols all metered parking Monday – Friday from 8 am – 6 pm.

Pets
Booth College welcomes goldfish only. Sorry, no legged animals allowed in the building.

Photocopying
Your student ID card is loadable at the library for photocopying.

Posters and Notices
All posters and notices must be approved and stamped by Student Development staff.

Refunds for Vending Machines
Please see the receptionist to report any problems.

Safety and Security
The building doors are open 7:30 am from 4:30 pm. After hours students should use their key card for entry. Never open the door for someone you do not know.   If you lose your key card, please notify the Facility Manager or Receptionist so we can cancel the card and begin the process of re-issuing a card.  There is a $25 replacement fee for cards.
