LEGISLATION INTRODUCED TO GIVE BOOTH COLLEGE UNIVERSITY STATUS
Dr. Allyna Ward has been appointed Assistant Professor of English Literature, effective July 1, 2009. This summer she will be relocating from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK to Winnipeg to take up her post. Allyna is a specialist in religious and political discourse in 16th and 17th century English literature. She currently teaches sessionally at Newcastle University and works as an editorial assistant for the Modern Language Review at the university. Her love for Shakespeare, film, and contemporary literature will bring a tremendous contribution to our new English and Film Bachelor of Arts. Originally from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Allyna has been in England since 2001 completing her education. We are pleased she has agreed to join us here at Booth.
