Well, here at Booth College we held a very successful Open House on Thursday, October 9th! (Maybe you even heard me on the radio, yeah, that’s right, I’m kind of famous! No, no I’m not…) We had people come in from around Winnipeg to check out what Booth College is all about!
There were booths (no pun intended) all around our chapel which dealt with the different degrees and programs that we have here at Booth and we had both the faculty liaison and a current student or alumni from that program at each booth. There was a chance to ask questions, look at information packets and hear the prospective of current and past students who have already gone through the programs.
We also had our academic dean give speech about what Booth College is and what we have to offer new and current students in our programming, etc. Even as a current student who is around all the time, it was really informative to hear about all of the new programs and changes that the college is making. Annnd there was coffee, tea and refreshments to be had; as a student, those are always one of the favourite things to be had at any sort of function.
If you didn’t happen to make it out to this past open house, we hope that you would be able to come out to the next one! It will be on Thursday, January 20th. I suggest that you listen to the radio in the weeks prior and keep an eye out for our bus adds as well! They’ll be kicking around the city come the New Year.
