Mission Statement

Rooted in a faith-based liberal arts college, the Booth College Social Work Program ensures that social work graduates are fully equipped to be effective front line generalist social workers with strong clinical skills and a passion for confronting the structural roots of social injustice.  The social work program instills values of compassion, acceptance and self-awareness in order to challenge graduates to appreciate and work from diverse perspectives to promote growth.  Graduates are prepared to function ethically and competently as leaders in the social work profession in congruence with the standards set out by the Canadian Association of Social Workers.
